New United Motors Manufacturing, Inc. (NUMMI) is a partnership between Toyota and General Motors - producing some of America's bestselling cars and trucks. With 6,000 employees and producing 400,000 vehicles a year, this is a big, vibrant, and bustling workplace - but the look and content of the employee magazine wasn't keeping pace with it's audience. With a mandate to redesign the Inside Track magazine to better engage, inspire, and align the workforce with core values, we rebuilt the 16-page quarterly publication from cover to cover. Auto manufacturers put a premium on fit and finish - and this magazine reflects that same devotion to quality. Management calls it "sleek". A great description of a new car - or a newly designed magazine.
